The Direct Material Purchasing Department is responsible for purchasing material to advanced projects, new projects and running production for VCCsnew factory in Charleston, SC. This department will have responsibility to buy all localized parts as well as challenge existing part and tooling set up for imported material. Key deliverables are to drive right supplier quality, cost and timing for new vehicle programs, cost efficiency, managing supply base, risk management and commodity strategies etc. Direct Material Purchasing works closely with EU and China Purchasing, R&D, manufacturing, the quality functions in the company and other stakeholders. The purchasing work is conducted in one global process and governance.
As we are in the progress of building the Charleston organization we are looking for buyers to our two teams:
- Interior, Exterior and Electrical
The team is responsible for commodities such as bumpers, panoramic roof, climate, IP, seats, door panels, EDS (harness) and many more.
- Chassis, PT, Body and RM
The team is responsible for engine, transmission, fuel tank, stamping parts, raw material and many more.
