SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Business Partner will partner closely with business units to deliver a full spectrum of both strategic and tactical programs to support MAU’s people and business objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Masters in human resources or equivalent (preferred)
- 7+ years of experience in an HR management, generalist, and/or business partner role
- Staffing experience (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in alignment with key stakeholders, and to maintain focus on driving what matters most in the face of interruptions and changing demands
- Fortune 500 HR experience or equivalent (preferred)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Comfortable building and analyzing Excel spreadsheets with the ability to provide meaningful business insights & recommendations
- Exceptional communication skills, including effective listening, writing and presenting
- Cloud based HRIS proficiency (preferred)
- Knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and regulations
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consult and advise managers and employees on all aspects of employee-related issues, including manager/employee issues, policies and procedures, misconduct, investigations, terminations, etc. with minimal oversight
- Resolve compliance matters (EEOC, DOL, NLRA, OSHA) with minimal oversight
- Navigate co-employment situations to mitigate liability and business disruption and also deepen client relationships
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, Marketing, Sales, Recruiting, Development, and other corporate functions to execute the overall Talent and Liability strategy
- Partner with or leads Workers’ Compensation, Unemployment, FMLA, Benefits and/or Compensation as needed
- Partner with Recruiting provider to attract more A players faster into business units
- Participate in business units’ annual budgeting process and also bid shell preparations, ensuring that compensation and benefits are accurately aligned with attracting and retaining top talent
- Partner with business units and corporate functions to assist with the management of leaves, disabilities, and Workers’ Compensation
- Assist business units in aligning their organizational design to the company strategy and structure
- Lead the performance evaluation program in business units and suggest revisions as necessary
- Partner with Development to create and sustain Talent development programs that drive business results
- Deliver or facilitate training programs to support MAU
