Control Equipment Technician
Start your new career as a Control Equipment Technician with MAU at Milliken in Pine Mountain, GA. As the Control Equipment Technician, you will fix computers and control board screens, conduct electrical checks, repair broken or loose connections, change out control module boards, change filters, start and stop compressors and figure out why powered industrial equipment or other machinery fail.
What We Are Looking For:
- High School Diploma
- 2-year electrical, electronics, or electro-mechanical degree from an accredited school (preferred)
- Previous experience (preferred)
- Excellent analytical skills
- Working knowledge of common tools
- Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds throughout shift
- Must be able to stand for entirety of shift

What You’ll Do As A Control Equipment Technician:
- Follow Plant Safety Rules
- Follow Lock-Out/ Tag-Out procedures
- Operation and Maintenance of:
- Fire Prevention Systems
- Gas/Propane Systems and Cut-Offs
- AMMS Systems
- Wet Electrostatic Precipitator and Associated Systems
- pH Neutralization Systems, including changing out and calibration of pH Probes (Main Pit, R8 Pit, R6 Pit)
- Understand process specific items that are identified on CET CSD Training Checklist
- Troubleshoot breakdowns and abnormal machine operation
- Repairing electronic and mechanical devices
- Order parts and supplies
- Check-out parts and supplies from Supply Room or other parts storage areas
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Instruct/ Train other control equipment technicians, technicians, and candidates for these positions
- Identification of all Plant alarms including evacuation and severe weather at both plants
- Know how to respond to all plant alarms
- Perform other duties as assigned
