SUMMARY:
Expand your professional portfolio as Printing Press Operator with MAU at Winpak Films in Senoia, GA. As the Printing Press Operator, you will be responsible for the operation of prepress, printing, and maintaining machinery in order to produce a product of utmost quality that meets and satisfies customer needs. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma
- 4+ years Flexographic printing experience
- Prepress, mounting, and ink blending skills required
- Ability to read tape measure
- Basic computer aptitude/skills
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to setup and run W&H and F&K flexographic printing press
- Must be able to color match and tone ink
- Film printing operation experience
- Ability to blend colors and match colors
- Ability to mount and organize prepress
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must pass a five panel urine screen as well as have no felonies in the past 7 years
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with Printing Manager and other operators in the safe production of quality printing while minimizing scrap and maximizing production rates
- Complete quality checks as dictated by customer specifications
- Keep ink room, mounting, and general area clean at all times
- Work as contributing member of a team, offering help and support to others as needed
- Show common courtesy and respect for other members of the team
- Report all safety hazards immediately to Printing Manager or Safety Coordinator
- Report all machine problems immediately to Printing Manager
- Read all order paperwork thoroughly, ensuring that all special instructions are followed carefully
- Help with writing and adjusting procedures for higher level of efficiency
- Carefully load, unload, label and move pallets to and from staging areas
- Doff, handle and weigh rolls safely and carefully making sure that no product damage occurs
- Fills out all production paperwork neatly and correctly and turns it in on time
- Load sleeves and Anilox rollers without damaging parts
- Assist in cleaning and auditing of Anilox Rollers and Sleeves
- Control machine impression and registration on setups
- Utilize computer recipes and other storage devices on machine once trained
- Maintain viscosity to ensure proper color is achieved
- Make consistent checks of tensions, heats and pressures to ensure proper roll formation
- Assist in changeovers as needed once trained
- Assist in carefully building doctor blades, ink pumps and cleaning of parts
- Assist in maintaining supplies
- Monitor raw materials and keeps adequate supply
- Monitor process, noting any significant changes
- Keep up with scrap, weighing and reporting accurately
- Other duties as assigned
