Maintenance Technician
SUMMARY:
Expand your professional portfolio as a Maintenance Technician with MAU’s client in Newnan, GA. As a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain, service, and troubleshoot equipment and site property; make adjustments and/or mechanical/electrical repairs to the machines and equipment in a safe, efficient manner. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical training certificates or Associates Degree, 6+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Basic math skills including: add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Use knowledge of all fabrication equipment to complete maintenance tasks
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with pneumatics and principles of compressed air during the course of the job
- Troubleshoot air logic systems using schematics
- Install air logic controls from prints or schematics
- Identify the basic components used in hydraulic circuits using the basic principles of hydraulics
- Explain the transmission of force and energy in a hydraulic circuit
- Understand the schedule rating of pipe and fittings and identify common plumbing fittings and complete orders by name
- Install both 120 and 480 volt circuits and other electrical related tasks to include AC and DC power
- Layout order and install all types of plumbing systems including sweat, glued, screwed, welded connections:
- Interpret isometric drawings, size pumps for proper flow and head pressure requirements
- Use basic plumbing codes for related tasks
- Fabricate and install proper plumbing supports; and use proper electrodes to use for different welding jobs
- Wire step-down transformers for all voltages
- Read and write electrical schematics
- Program and Troubleshoot PLC systems using computer
- Install and troubleshoot electric motors and AC/DC drives
- Use electrical test equipment to take voltage and current readings and conduct ohm and meggar testing
- Perform Arc welding, Mig welding, plasma and oxy-fuel cutting
- Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits containing the following components, check valves, accumulators, cylinders, flow controls, directional control valves, pressure control valves, hydraulic oil coolers and filters
- Identify and explain the difference between three types of hydraulic pumps
