Maintenance Technician
SUMMARY:
Expand your professional portfolio as Maintenance Technician with MAU’s client in Senoia, GA. As the Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for calibration, repair, troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and/or modifications of all production and building equipment, while meeting all safety and quality standards. This is a direct-hire opportunity with multiple shifts available.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma
- 5+ years industrial maintenance experience
- Certification/diploma from an accredited technical institution in Industrial Maintenance or Industrial Electronic Technology (preferred)
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, and hydraulics systems is required
- Understating of automated production machinery, electrical and electronic motors, components, and controls
- Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and blueprint, and possess a thorough knowledge of relay logic and ladder diagrams
- Be familiar with the following trades: carpentry, painting, machining, welding, pipe fitting, sheet metal work, instrumentation.
- Be able to read and understand mechanical drawings and blueprints
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must pass a five-panel urine screen as well as have no felonies in the past 7 years
RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot and correct problems as they occur
Take measurements on running machinery, measure voltage and currents on energized circuits
Maintain computer information systems, i.e., MP2 or other databases to complete and manage tasks
Document work orders, maintaining PM records, and inventory checkouts
Install, repair, and replace parts
Modify machines
Install new equipment
Assist in the maintenance of spare parts inventory and order spare parts according to procedures
Ensure that the necessary paperwork such as daily work time sheets is complete and accurate
Become familiar with the NEC and local electrical codes and keep up to date with revisions
Understand programmable controllers, operator interfaces, and their function in integrated systems
Troubleshoot AC/DC motors and speed controls and capable of performing repairs as required. Taking measurements on live equipment and rotating components
Understand supervisory microprocessor control interface and an understanding of PID control as it applies to the process
Ability to recognize control strategies of new and existing processes and develop the analytical ability to troubleshoot and correct problems in complex running process
Be proficient in the use of MP2 (computerized maintenance management system) for work order control, inventory, equipment history, and preventive maintenance
Maintain exemplary housekeeping standards. Always leave work area cleaner than when found
Attend company paid training programs as prescribed by the Maintenance Manager and/or Plant Engineer
Perform other duties as assigned
