Robert Bosch, LLC - Manufacturing Engineer – IPB Machining
SUMMARY:
Expand your professional portfolio as a Manufacturing Engineer – IPB Machining with MAU at Robert Bosch, LLC in Charleston, SC. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for planning of IPB valve housing machining and deburring, production releases, conduct trial runs, and tooling issues. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS degree in an Engineering field or higher
- Experience in machining including CNC programming, fixture design, gage design, carbide & PCD tooling
- Experience with machining of aluminum
- Experience with High Pressure Deburr and CNC machines
- Experience with automation, robots, and vision systems (preferred)
- Experience with CMM and good knowledge of GD&T
- Strong project leadership skills.
- Effective problem solving skills.
- Communicate and interact effectively including presentation skills
- Knowledge of Shainin, PDSS, 8D, 5-whys
- German Language skills (preferred)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain strategies using lean manufacturing principles for equipment design, workplace layouts, material flow, and workforce optimization to meet strategic goals
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation and quality plans according to company standards: Control Plans, PFMEA’s, Standards Work Instructions, SPC charts, gage logs, process control documentation, etc.
- Implement/coordinate capacity planning, cost calculations, new processes releases and engineering changes
- Plan and justify new investments for machines and equipment
- Prepare and build PPAP parts for new products
- Coordinate projects with manufacturing team with improvements to safety, cost, quality, and delivery
- Troubleshoot/resolve manufacturing issues down to the root cause
- Manage machining tool life, performance, and inventories
