SUMMARY:
The General Manager in Outsourcing is responsible for ensuring site wide operations are performing at agreed upon service levels and driving continuous improvement in safety, logistics, operations, and internal support processes.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years of management experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Experience leading teams and with hazard identification
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- 1+ years SAP Transactional experience
- Lean/Six Sigma Manufacturing experience (preferred)
- Experience and training in Human Resources (preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (preferred)
- Proven ability to solve problems, motivate others, and customer service skills (preferred)
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and walk up to 5 miles per day
- Ability to sit at a desk for several hours
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds periodically and 50 pounds on occasion
- Ability to travel 10%-15%
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer Service
- Serve as the primary point of contact with the customer’s senior management team
- Ensure that MAU is in compliance with site specific policies and regulations
- Ensure that consistent communications are maintained between MAU and customer staff
- Ensure that department specific metrics are meeting target and containment plans are developed and executed if necessary
- Safety Focus:
- Support and foster a safety culture that is engaged and focused on achieving "Zero Incidents"
- OSHA 300 log tracking and reporting
- Support the MAU Safety Team so that the following can be accomplished:
- CIP of safety process and training documents
- Oversee administration of OSHA Required Safety Programs
- Oversees and helps develop training material, standard work, and other documents to help standardize processes and keep employees safe
- Implement Health and Safety Action Plan
- Facilitate Safety Action Improvement Process
- Live safety by identifying hazards, correcting harmful conditions, and improving MAU’s safety culture, particularly in your division and team
- Communication Proficiency
- Ensure that consistent communications are maintained between MAU and customer staff
- Ensure that personnel demand requirements are clearly communicated to the MAU Branch Recruiting Team
- Customer/Client Focus
- Ensure that MAU is in compliance with site specific policies and regulations
- Meet with customer regularly for support, budget and site specific performance review
- Crisis Management
- On call 24/7 for any emergency including both personnel injury and property damage
- Safety case management support
- Talent Management
- In association with the MAU Recruiting Team – set standards for screening, interviewing and provide hiring recommendations for leadership, training and administrative support positions
- Support existing MAU Staffing Leadership group
- Coordinate training and development plans for the leadership team
- Oversee a staff that can contain:
- Operations Manager
- Quality/Safety Manager
- Training Specialist
- Operations Supervision
- Problem Solving/Safety Analysis
- Conduct & train 4 Step Problem Solving process
- Manage PIT Impact Program
- Conduct Safety Gemba’s with Team / Employees
- Ability to identify hazards in the workplace
- Policy/Program Administration
- Maintain consistent administration of MAU policies to mitigate legal exposure
- Provide coaching and if necessary administer disciplinary actions
- Conflict resolution and intervention
- Project Management
- Interface between customer leadership and MAU leadership
- Provide resources for both short and long term special projects
- Evaluate project performance for process improvement recommendations
- Attend specific departmental meetings as required
- Track and report PO billing
