Expand your professional portfolio as a Quality Manager with our client in Metuchen, NJ. As the Quality Manager, you will oversee the Quality Management System, and ensure that parts are manufactured to customer requirements. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
REQUIREMENTS:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain the Quality Management System for compliance with customer, ISO 9001, local, state, and federal requirements, and ensure that it is continually reviewed and improved
- Support manufacturing be ensuring the timely completion of part quality documentation requirements, including but not limited to, first article inspection reports, ballooned drawings, inspection check sheets, SPC charts, process flow diagrams, process failure mode and effects analyses, process control plans, dimensional layout requirements, part submission warrants, capability study, and measurement systems analysis
- Participate on the management team in formulating and establishing company organizational policies, goals, and operating procedures
- Develop, implement, and coordinate the quality assurance program and quality department staff
- Analyze, evaluate, and present information concerning key performance indicators
- Suggest improvement ideas or corrective action activities in reaction to data
- Assist the management team in assessing training needs that impact critical areas of the quality system
- Evaluate and respond to customer complaints, deviation requests, and revision changes
- Visit and confer with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain information related to supplier quality, capacity of vendor to meet orders, and vendor quality standards
- Coordinate with manufacturing and engineering management regarding quality assurance of new product designs
- Review all documentation for new products to ensure customer requirements can be achieved, and develop inspection plans for new products
- Manage the Internal Auditing Program, including recruiting internal auditors and overseeing training requirements
- Assist with all quality tasks as needed, including mechanical inspection
- Train, teach, and mentor subordinates to develop a strong team
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
