Expand your professional portfolio as a Director of Marketing with our client in Willoughby, OH. As the Director of Marketing, you are responsible for all other forms of advertising, including tradeshows, media liaising, event planning, and public relations. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience in advertising, marketing, or communications
- Ability to balance strategic direction and tactical execution
- Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative with high ethical standards
- Results-oriented – a visual thinker with strong conceptualization skills
- Must be able to negotiate, propose solutions, and make decisions in a rapidly changing, competitive environment
- Advanced business writing skills, including extreme proficiency with grammar
- Effective oral communication in small groups and public speaking, with clear organization of thought processes and strong command of the language
- Exhibit continuous learning through reading, seminars, networks, and professional organizations
- Foster a high level of accountability by measuring performance thoroughly and honestly
- High proficiency in graphic design and page layout, including extensive knowledge in the following programs: Dream Weaver, CSS, Java Script, Adobe PageMaker, Adobe Photoshop, Quark, Corel Draw, Microsoft FrontPage, Web Expressions, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Publisher
- Experienced in working with web-design protocol and possess SEO capabilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the executive team on strategic planning, developing, and maintaining operations planning, risk management and strong leadership to achieve corporate objectives and goals
- Foster ethical and responsible decision making
- Effectively develop solutions to business challenges
- Communicate to the executive staff, in a timely manner, on advertising matters that affect the corporation
- Communicate effectively with all corporate levels
- Adhere to budget responsibility in accordance with company objectives
- Develop, implement, and manage the organization’s advertising strategy from a business, sales and technical perspective
- Work on marketing, tradeshows, and promotional activities
- Maintain relations with magazine/advertising agencies
- Negotiate agreements with outside vendors and publications
- Monitor and analyze promotion results to determine effectiveness
- Develop, manage, and produce print materials including all literature, price lists, catalogs, etc., and incorporate same into various company websites and provide statistical reporting on those materials
- Protect company proprietary and confidential information in accordance with the company’s confidentiality policy
- Provide advertising and literature support to customers
- Negotiate with publications to print articles, press releases, product spotlights and informational pieces gratis about the company for added exposure
- Identify new advertising avenues
- Serve as company’s public relations / media liaison
- Other essential duties as assigned
