Senior BIM Designer

Expand your professional career as a Senior BIM Designer with Atkore in Hobart, IN, Pittsburg, PA or Harvey, IL. As a Senior BIM Designer, you will be responsible for serving as a subject matter expert in developing and designing BIM content for AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, etc. You will also assist with the development of new features to the Atkore Toolbar, and integration of digital design tools to the website. This is a direct hire opportunity.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, computer Sciences), Architecture, or similar building design discipline (Master’s degree preferred)
• 5+ years of professional experience utilizing Autodesk programs
• 5+ years of experience with Revit, Inventor, and AutoCAD
• Ability to manipulate and adapt files created by others
• Willingness to accept direction and perform tasks efficiently
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong interpersonal skills and comfort with upper management
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and/or electrical industry (preferred)
• Experience programming with Python verbiage (preferred)
• Dynamo experience (preferred)
• Solid leadership and organizational skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, lead, and manage BIM Modeling, design, and drafting
• Manage BIM content in various programs (i.e., inventor, AutoCAD 3D, Navisworks)
• Provide critical design support to internal and external customers
• Collaborate with cross functional teams on innovation projects
• Manage and maintain Atkore’s complete BIM library
• Support Atkore’s Revit Toolbar modifications
• Develop efficiency improvements to current processes
• Troubleshoot BIM-related project issues, including warnings and errors
• Regularly ensure project management is effective and productive
• Develop and maintain standard work/checklists to ensure consistency and quality of work on every project
• Identify training opportunities and areas for improvement based on daily experiences and exposure to various projects
• Drive other projects, as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned
