Inside Sales Manager

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- 5+ years of sales and/or related electrical industry experience
- Demonstrated successful marketplace track record within the electrical distribution channel
- Excellent organization, communication, written, negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft applications (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Knowledge of Salesforce (JD Edwards and Tableau knowledge desired)
- Team player with a personal drive to achieve corporate and BU goals
- Ability and willingness to learn, or a working knowledge of pertinent NEC fundamentals
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the assigned territory’s Agents to drive, administer, and enforce the pricing strategy and guidelines, as developed by the National Director of Sales and/pr VP/GM
- Proactively manage agents, growing business in the assigned territory by identifying key customers and developing them to a product category mix that is in line with territory and growth SDP and initiatives
- Execute and track customers utilizing an Action Plan
- Utilize available tools, negotiations, and analytical skills to maximize volume and margin that is in line with the strategic focus and plan
- Drive and support Corporate and Business Unit Strategic Initiatives
- Prepare customer quotations and conduct follow-ups in a timely manner
- Maintain a high degree of responsiveness and urgency relative to activities in the assigned market/territory
- Coordinate and share market feedback, intelligence, and data points with other inside sales team managers, as well as the National Director of Sales
- Attend and present at weekly pricing review meetings scheduled by the National Director of Sales, including the Outside Sales RVPs, VP/GM, and President
- Interact closely with Atkore RVPs, RSMs, TSMs, and Sales Leads to maximize market opportunities
- Participate in annual budget planning relative to the assigned territory and sales/inventory needs
- Participate in regular meetings with the National Director of Sales and the team to forecast changes and spread pressures impacting any existing budget and/or current forecast
- Manage, channel, and direct various requests that occur during business, such as literature, technical, and inventory inquiries
- Maintain accurate records relative to quotation history, long term quotes, multiple release orders, and price sheet maintenance
- Travel two times per year within your assigned market, supporting strong agent and customer relationships
- Participate in Kaizens and similar events, as needed
- Assist with Commercial Excellent activities, such as Unearned Cash Discounts and late pay issues, as needed
- Cover positions within the Inside Sales Team during associate absences
- Other duties as assigned
