As a Procurement Analyst, you will be responsible for providing hands-on process improvements, utilizing a combination of Purchasing and Supply Chain skill sets to interface with external suppliers, internal manufacturing, engineering, and sales team members, improving inventory performance, cost, delivery, quality, innovation, and lead time. This is a direct hire opportunity.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor of Science degree in a business-related discipline
• 3+ years of experience in procurement
• Experience with procurement/supply chain negotiation in an industrial environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general purchasing software solutions (JDE/Oracle experience preferred)
• Solid communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Experience with inventory control programs
• Strong practical skills within a Lean manufacturing environment (desired)
• Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management
• Ability to contribute individually to a team environment, while supporting and driving company values and initiatives
• Working knowledge of MRP concepts, inventory control, and logistics/freight

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze production requirements and order materials, ensuring an uninterrupted flow of goods and services to support the master production schedule
• Identify and develop new sources of supply and new/alternative materials, supporting the production team and it’s cost reduction efforts
• Participate in the promotion and facilitation of events supporting the entire value chain
• Focus on MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) and process improvements to allow for the acceleration of standardization, stability, and simplification of the manufacturing supply chain
• Create purchase orders and facilitate all changes and expedites, reconciling pending invoices
• Maintain ownership and proper order processing, inclusive of DoA, FL accuracy, and data entry
• Updater master file records, as needed
• Develop and monitor standard costs for raw materials
• Perform cost and supply analysis, developing an optimized purchasing plan, as required
• Develop new domestic sources, as needed, and proactively identify potential future sources to evaluate and qualify
• Participate in strategic sourcing decisions, achieving corporate goals and objectives
• Utilize root cause analysis and preventive action implementation for problem solving
• Maintain clear lines of communication between procurement and manufacturing operations
• Collaborate with all departments, including Quality, Logistics, Finance, and Manufacturing, obtaining the best pricings, quality, service, and delivery
• Manage Ad hoc projects and reports, supporting the development and implementation of MRP systems
• Manage databases associates with procurement models
• Other duties as assigned
