VIA Quality and Logistics Support Specialist
SUMMARY:

As a VIA Quality and Logistics Support Specialist, you will support the steering of quality parts, vehicle movement, and trucking performance to meet company targets. This is a long-term, contract assignment, with 2 available positions.
Our client, a premier automotive company, is located in the upstate area of SC. This is a long-term renewable contract opportunity.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates degree
- Or equivalent of 2+ years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
- 1+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in Logistics, Quality, or Inventory Management
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle
- Proficient communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office programs
- 1+ years SAP experience (preferred)
- 1+ years of experience with all Microsoft Office applications
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support quality and handling of all inbound and outbound vehicle movements
- Support Department’s vehicle damage process, reporting and documenting for both transportation and warranty
- Support department with vehicle inventory accuracy and documentation
- Track and report the performance of wholesale targets
- Support the trucking carriers on needs for vehicle movement to meet wholesale demands
- Ensure parts quality and return processes are adhered to
- Report findings of quality, damages, or logistics issues to management
- Perform and coordinate administrative tasks (word processing, document preparation/management, and file maintenance as required)
- Coordinate repair processes on damages
- Support Section Leaders on the corrective action process on findings
- Interact with all departments on maintaining areas in quality, parts, facility, equipment, inventory, work instructions, etc.
- Utilize SAP/VMS/SAP
- Ensure department maintains target achievement and task completion as assigned
- Adhere to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles
- Understand and model VPS Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
