SUMMARY:

The Safety Team Lead will provide safety, production, and PIV training and compliance for associates and Full-Time Regular Staff (100+). You will foster a positive safety culture within the team through training and enforcement of safety rules and work standards and serve as a proxy for the Safety Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate degree OR 3+ years of applicable experience
• Communication proficiency, with the ability to communicate both verbally and in written correspondence
• Customer/client focused
• Excellent time management and teamwork experience
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience in a leadership role
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on process improvement
• Results driven mentality
• Excellent office, computer, and interpersonal skills
• The ability to perform duties both safely and efficiently under the following working conditions:
• Working in an industrial environmen
• Bending, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouchin
• Lifting 75 pound
• Visual acuity to read instructions, manuals, specifications, etc
• Depth perception and a wide field of vision are needed when operating vehicle
• Continuously mounting and dismounting vehicles
• Ability to travel for training and development when needed

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide applicable Safety Data during Pre-Shift Meetings
• Facilitate New Hire Orientation training for associates
• Track and update Site KPIs
• Maintain PIV Impact Program
• Perform Safety Gemba walks throughout the Plant (Safety Compliance)
• Provide continuous training efforts to maintain OSHA Compliance and improve the safety culture
• Perform monthly, and safety training and OSHA Annual Required Safety Training
• Track and record Safety Performance for the Site Team
• Respond to and investigate incidents/accidents that occur in the facility
• Provide containment
• Administer recertification processes
• Facilitate 4SPS events
• Facilitate random drug testing
• Oversee Post-Accident reports and drug testing
• Maintain safety information on the Site Communication Board and ensure associate compliance with GMP, dress code, and MAU policies
• Provide assessments and documentation of associates' training progress
• Serve as a witness, when required for attendance, work performance, and conduct counseling sessions; assist with security compliance and suspension of employees
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
