Shift Supervisor

SUMMARY:

The shift supervisor will provide work direction to shift leadership team and subordinates to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost and people objectives set by the customer and MAU. This will require the Shift Supervisor to manage the daily tasks of manufacturing and material movement associates working in various departments throughout the facility.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates degree
• OR 3+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing /logistics setting
• Great communication skills
• Leadership
• Teamwork oriented
• Results driven

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead Pre-Shift Meetings
• Attend scheduled daily performance meetings with the customer
• Manage employee work assignments based on turnover and call-offs
• Perform Gemba walks throughout the shift (Process Compliance)
• Verify production via Hour by Hour reporting
• Address issues that are below target
• Document corrective actions
• Respond / Perform special requests from the customer
• Address Concerns and provide Follow Up
• Update communication boards (SQDC)
• Ensure operator standard work is followed
• Implement countermeasures and apply containment
• Ensure SOIs are maintained and being followed
• Ensure associate compliance with GMP, dress code and MAU policies
• Sustain and support Leader Standard Work
• Management Crisis i.e. safety issues, injuries, property damage etc.
• Provide continuous training efforts to improve teams performance
• Process Improvement
• Employee claims/investigations
• Security compliance and suspension of employees
• Promote and support a positive Safety Culture
• Ensure profitability by minimizing / eliminating property damage risk and managing overtime
• Provide post-accident reports and drug testing
• Daily Payroll/Kronos maintenance
• Support and operate within headcount allocations
• Manage expectations regarding Site Safety and Quality rules
• Participate in continuous improvement projects when expectations aren’t met
